HANDMADE STOCKING FLOWERS

HANDMADE STOCKING FLOWERS

Today I am sharing a quick and easy tutorial on making simple and cute stocking flowers or nylon flowers.

The best thing about these flowers is that, you can shape the petals in any desirable form you want! Since you wrap a loop of wire in stocking it makes the petals flexible. Stocking flowers can be used as decoration in vases, jewelry, gift boxes, candles and accessories. You can use them to refashion an old item in your room.

You will need:
§  Any cylindrical object (nail polish bottle, medicine bottle etc)
§  Stocking net
§  Floral tape
§  Nylon thread
§  Stamens
§  Wire
§  Plier
§  scissors

Flower Tutorial:

Wind the wire around the bottle, twist and cut with the help of the plier.

Now cover it up with stocking net. And thread the end tightly.

Cut the excess stocking net with the scissors.
(This technique may seem difficult in the start. But know that as you continue to make petals
It will become easier, to stretch nylon on the wires.)

.You will need five petals to make each flower

Use the thread to join the stamens first.

And then thread each petal to the stem one at a time.

Wrap the floral tape around the stem wire. This will hide the thread and wire below the petals.
And the flower is ready.

Put a few artificial leaves, ribbons and use it to decorate a gift box, candles or anything you like!
